Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Harpo (the "Service"), operated by Harpo Labs LLC, a California limited liability company ("Harpo," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who This Service Is For

Harpo is a professional productivity tool built for speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and related clinicians/educators to prepare and run therapy sessions. You must be at least 18 years old and using the Service in a professional or supervised-training capacity to create an account. Harpo is not directed at children, and children should not create their own accounts.

2. Your Account

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@useharpo.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You agree to provide accurate account information (name and email) and keep it up to date.

3. Subscription, Trial, and Billing

  • Harpo is offered on a subscription basis, billed through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • New accounts receive a 14-day free trial, after which a paid subscription is needed to keep using the Service. We may change or end trial offers at any time.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until canceled. You can cancel anytime through the billing portal in your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We don't store your full payment card details — those are handled directly by Stripe. See our Privacy Policy for more on this.
  • Prices may change with reasonable advance notice for existing subscribers.

4. Content You Provide

When using Harpo, you may enter certain information to configure sessions and materials — for example, a therapy session label, target sounds, session activities, and similar configuration data. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for using the Service consistent with your own professional and ethical obligations.

You retain ownership of the configuration data you create. You grant Harpo a limited license to store, process, and display that data solely to operate the Service for you.

5. Harpo's Content

Flashcards, word lists, therapy target content, generated stories, and other materials provided through the Service are owned by Harpo or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use this content for your own therapy practice while your subscription is active. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly republish Harpo's content outside of your professional use with your own clients/students.

6. Professional Judgment

Harpo is a tool to support session planning and materials creation. It does not provide medical, clinical, or diagnostic advice, and it is not a substitute for your own professional judgment, training, and applicable clinical standards. You remain solely responsible for the clinical decisions you make in your practice. Stories in Harpo are written with the help of AI and can contain mistakes or unsuitable wording, so please review each story before using it with your clients/students.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts; interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation; or scrape, resell, or redistribute Harpo's content or the Service itself.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers to operate, including Supabase (authentication and data storage), Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI story writing), and Google (optional sign-in and web fonts). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' own applicable terms where relevant to their function.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for non-payment. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends; certain data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HARPO LABS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date, and material changes will be communicated to active subscribers where reasonably practicable. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
